Rd. 5 Power Rankings

Must read

Prior to Rally Italia Sardegna, see how your favourite driver stacks up in the WRC Power Rankings!

It perhaps comes as no surprise to see Welshman Elfyn Evans sitting atop the inaugural rankings, which feature his Toyota Gazoo Racing team-mates Sébastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanperä in third and fourth place respectively. This is all good news for Team Principal Tommi Mäkinen, who is targeting a Manufacturers’ title in his final season with the team.

Splitting the Toyota dominance at the top is Hyundai Motorsport driver Ott Tänak, in second spot, whose win at home last month considerably helps his overall position.

Sébastien Loeb has shown the true value he has provided as a part-time driver for Hyundai in the past two seasons, ending his time with the German-based team with a podium finish at Rally Turkey, helping him to take out fifth spot in the standings.

Leaving out emotional factors, the WRC Power Rankings are based on the 2020 active drivers’ previous three WRC results driving in a WRC car. For example, Sébastien Loeb’s average takes into account his performance at RallyRACC Catalunya in October, 2019.

Wolf Power Stage points are also factored into the equation.
