Alex Albon: Max Verstappen doesn’t play political games

Must read

Red Bull driver Alex Albon says that his teammate Max Verstappen does not play political games inside the team and says just what he thinks.

The Thai was criticized more than once this year for his performances. Many times fans questioned: “Shouldn‘t Red Bull get Pierre Gasly back”. Meanwhile, M. Verstappen answered that no matter who his teammate was, the result would still be the same.

“He just says what he thinks. I know there are athletes who play political games inside a team. But Max isn‘t one of them”, – said A. Albon in an interview with Sky Sports F1.

The Thai was also asked to comment his phrase after winning the third place in race at Mugello: “Thank you for still being with me”.

“After the race I thought that it sounded like ‚God, it sounded like I was saying,‘ Thank you for not getting rid of me.”, the athlete joked – But  I didn‘t mean that. I just wanted to thank the team for supporting me from the first day.”
